Regression to the mean? All companies will start to decline at some point of time, when the management has made a bad judgement call

Profit driver vs. customer value driven... Serving short term shareholders (SPH) vs. serving long term customers....
My impression is that FSM thinks the formers are more important and worth sacrificing customers' value to achieve that.

Just received email from FSM that they have been notified of my request to transfer out my holdings - one email for each UT that is to be transferred!

Anyone knows if AvivaDirect also reinvests dividends automatically? Can't find such info at their FAQ. Thanks.

Watch this weekend. Be ready to cut loss and get out on Monday should the Europe situation gets worse.

Unless the stocks you bought are those that you don't mind holding for long term AND you manage to get them cheap, you should never leave them unattended for such a long time these days. I have a feeling that the downside risk is much higher than the upside although the global govt might implement some short term "sounds good" plan which could con the market to be higher for a while. To be honest, If I was not going to be able to monitor my positions for a week, I won't have taken a position even though I think the correction over these 3 days have been over done. BTW, hope the iceland volcano doesn't get worse and you end up being stuck in Europe more than 1 week.

StreetTracks STI ETF is included in CPFIS-OA. I'm vested personally. See here also: http://www.streettracks.com.sg/ssga/jsp ... s.jsp#cpf1Can I use my CPF to purchase streetTRACKS STI? streetTRACKS STI is included in the CPF Investment Scheme - Ordinary Account. CPF members are allowed to invest up to 100% of their CPF savings in streetTRACKS STI, compared to only 35% for other Singapore stocks listed on SGX-ST.

What a change after being absent for a while. I received the following from FSM. I guess part of the platform is used to fund this promotion: Dear Sliver Investors,
Fundsupermart.com has always believed in the benefits of having a well-diversified portfolio. That is all too clear during times when markets experience upheavals. While many of us may also believe in the benefits of having a portfolio allocation which has both equities, bonds and other asset classes with low correlation, how many of us really preach what we say?
With this in mind, Fundsupermart.com will like to start the ball rolling by offering you, our Sliver-status investor, an exclusive offer: Fundsupermart.com will credit SGD 10 worth of units in the Fidelity Funds – Asian High Yield Fund (USD-class) on Monday 10th May 2010. The Fidelity Funds – Asian High Yield Fund is the only fund invested in the Asian high yield bond sector on Fundsupermart.com.

That's for a "Silver" investor. I am asking about a "Sliver" investor.

WOW! You need 250k to be a gold investor right? Please FSM, are you trying to insult your customers. Citibank is giving me $40 voucher to open bank account with them, and I only need to deposit $2000 you know...
